Wesley Academy is the product of a group of visionaries who saw the need for an exemplary academic program for their growing families within the context of the Christian principles on which the country was formed. In 1988 we began our kindergarten programs. In 1992, our first elementary class began with six pupils in grades one to three. Since its inception, the school has experienced a significant increase in our student population
As we entered the new millennium, our first school building was stretched beyond its capacity. Every available inch of space was utilized to its maximum. Our whole school family dreamed, worked together and prayed to facilitate the transfer to a larger building. In August 2003, the final negotiations to secure a new location were completed and shortly thereafter construction began to renovate the newly acquired structure into a wonderful school building. In September 2004, we opened a brand new school year in a brand new facility.
While our facilities have grown, our focus has remained on solid teaching within the five precepts of academic, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development. It is our mandate to function in our community as providers of first-rate early childhood and elementary education and to remain an excellent alternative to public education.
