Our fall fundraiser this year is a new and exciting venture! Today, your child was told about our sales of ‘fresh from the grove’ Florida oranges and grapefruits. Your family can help the school raise funds by spreading the word and taking orders for these delicious citrus fruit.

Your child has been provided with a personalized order form, as well as a money collection envelope, so that your family can begin taking orders as soon as possible. All orders, with the money, are due at the school on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Please only send in your money, when you are completed taking all your orders. When the orders arrive here at the school in late November you will be notified so you can pick up your orders to deliver to friends and family. You will receive your order form back with your order.

We encourage all students to have school lunch on this day. A number of our PVO mothers will be serving the students. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together the many blessings God has bestowed on us! Teachers and students will also eat lunch together!

This past summer my wife, Bonnie, and I moved from Indianapolis, Indiana, to Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Lord provided for us a lovely house that my wife is transforming into a home for our family. My four children, Jared, Drew, Lindi, and Aubrey, all moved to Colorado with us. The boys are both graduates of Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), and the girls both attend IWU.

Our new house is nestled into a gorgeous subdivision called Fox Run, which is situated in a ponderosa pine forest. We discovered that the landscaping outside our new house has a myriad of beautiful wildflowers—and weeds! For the first two weeks, however, we could not see any flowers because the weeds had taken over.
